This is a project I’m genuinely excited about, but also one I approach with a lot of respect. Bourbon has a deep history, a passionate community, and a culture that deserves to be explored the right way. The goal here isn’t to pretend we know everything—it’s to build something that celebrates bourbon honestly, consistently, and in a way that brings people along for the ride.

At its core, BestBourbon.com is meant to be a trusted place to learn, explore, and stay connected to what’s happening across the world of bourbon and American whiskey. The team will be putting in the work to create content that’s not only useful, but enjoyable—something you actually want to come back to.

As one of the contributors, I’ll be leading what we’re calling the Bourbon Mash-Up Blogs. This is where things get a little more personal. You’ll be following my journey as I go deeper into bourbon—not just the drink itself, but the industry, the people behind it, the culture, the food, and especially the great Commonwealth of Kentucky, where I was born and raised.

Along the way, you’ll probably see some personality come through. There may be references to my beard, professional wrestling, BBQ, sports, and whatever else happens to tie into the moment. That’s intentional. Bourbon, to me, isn’t just something you drink—it’s something you experience, and it connects to a lot more than what’s in the glass.

I’ve been that guy standing in front of a shelf, staring at dozens of bottles, hoping one would somehow stand out and tell me it was the right choice. I’ve picked bottles up, turned them over, and then put them right back because I didn’t know what I didn’t know—and I didn’t take the plunge.

That’s really where this all starts.

This site is here to help make that journey easier. You’ll find fresh content, insights from other great bourbon sources, and stories from distilleries and people who live this every day. The goal isn’t to overwhelm—it’s to guide, educate, and hopefully give you the confidence to take that next step, whether it’s your first bottle or your fiftieth.

The bourbon world is something I’ve wanted to dive deeper into for a long time.
